1. Private app data
SomaMemo is a local-first health diary with no developer login, advertising SDK, behavioral analytics or cross-app tracking. Core bowel, urinary, digestive and symptom records, notes, settings and photo attachments remain on your device. Photos are attachments only; they are not uploaded for recognition or diagnosis.
2. Apple services
With your permission, the app may read selected Apple Health activity or sleep data and write mindfulness minutes. Apple processes App Store purchases and purchase restoration. We do not receive your Apple ID password or full payment details, and purchase restoration does not sync health records.
3. Website community and feedback
The website community is optional and separate from the app. When you post, we store the public topic or reply, publication time and either “Anonymous” or the display name you choose. Display names are not identity-verified.
To reduce spam, the website creates a one-way technical fingerprint from network and browser information and keeps short-lived rate-limit records. The raw network address is not displayed to other users. Community content is public: do not post health records, photos, contact details, passwords or other identifying information.
The feedback form opens your own email app. Your message is not first saved by the SomaMemo website; your email provider and ours process it when you send.
4. Your choices
- Use the app without creating a SomaMemo account.
- Revoke Apple Health, notification, camera or photo permissions in system settings.
- Export or permanently delete on-device records in the app.
- Use the community anonymously, with a display name, or not at all.
- Request review or removal of public community content by emailing support.
5. Security, changes and contact
The app uses iOS data protection and supports Face ID or device-passcode locking. We may update this policy when the product or law changes. Questions and community removal requests can be sent to privacy@somamemo.com.
SomaMemo is not designed for children under 13 and does not provide emergency medical services.
